About
Encompassing all Spirituality - for all who are spiritual but not 'religious,' and for all those who are spiritual and 'religious'... for all with a sense of spirituality in their heart - regardless of where they find their community. I am a traveller on the spiritual path with no single grounded home, but rather wayside cabins I visit often – searching for divine spaces made for joy, love and compassion. Spaces where God’s presence sits peacefully in my heart.
I will start with the story of my perhaps not straightforward spiritual path. I was brought up with no religious or spiritual input – and the belief ‘if it can’t be proved by science then it can’t be true!’ So that was that. No God, and no spiritual side of life for me! My first involvement with any type of spirituality was in my early forties in 2004 when I had a calling to learn Reflexology. This was quickly followed by Reiki and the discovery of the amazing properties of Crystals. Thus I could no longer go down the line of everything having to be proved by science. I accepted there were things we just don’t understand – indeed a mysterious side of life. My eyes were open and I had started my spiritual path.
In 2018 I explored Christianity and I have been on quite a journey since! I found theology was the most exciting subject I had ever encountered in all my life! It lies at the heart of questions such as ‘where did we come from’ and ‘who are we,’ and the meaning of life. My enthusiasm resulted in my starting a part time Theology degree course through Durham University – I have just completed the second year. It has been such hard work, but so rewarding!
I have a universal perspective on faith and belief. Whilst I am involved with the Christian faith - I am an Anglican lay minister - I also love Buddhism and new age practices. I feel all lead to the same God. I am also very keen on mindfulness and use it in my daily life. Thus I am ‘a traveller on the spiritual path with no single grounded home, but rather wayside cabins I visit often.’
My main work involves writing on both spirituality and theology, along with running ‘Quiet Spaces’ – reflective contemplative mornings seeking an inner stillness with God/The Divine.

Quiet Spaces was set up to offer 'spaces' for quiet and reflection in the Plymouth area. Our meetings can take place in either an indoor or garden setting - or a combination of both. All are welcome regardless of faith or spirituality. The format will vary, but could include poetry, reflections and prayers - along with a time for space, quiet and personal reflection.
My Writing. I love to write! My themes vary from mindfulness, holistic therapies, and spirituality, to theology and philosophy. Mindfulness and Holistic Therapies can really help our lives in the here and now - and we need this. Practices such as Reiki and contemplation can help us connect to the Divine. In terms of theology and philosophy, I feel this can help us embrace questions such as why we are here and the meaning of life. Click here to read
